Hi Harold, I was looking at the Lunati website and spotted the Voodoo 60204LK and it appeared to be just right for my combo (combo is listed below). I did not see description of hydraulic, roller, solid, non-roller. Can you tell me what the best grind and cam type would be for my 454 bracket racer ?
Has anybody used this cam and what did you think ?
454 MKIV 2-bolt main block (bored +.30)
"781" oval port heads 2.19/1.88 valves
Edelbrock performer RPM intake
Keith Black pistons #KB-257 Details (approx 10.2:1 CR)
Holly 850 Dbl pmpr w/ mech secondaries
Cam (need suggestions/part#) hydraulic roller ?
MSD billet "ready to run" distributor
Mallory 6AL
Carter 172 mechanical fuel pump
Muncie M-21
12-bolt posi 3.73 gear
1.75" headers to bullets

Thanks Harold graemlins/waving.gif

John,

The 60204LK is just a normal hydraulic cam.
We should be releasing the hydraulic rollers this coming week, as we at Lunati have done all the required paperwork. I do not know if Holley is going with the 227/235 one or the 231/239, my favorite--historical numbers, you know.
However, I have some excellent ones I have made for 10 years as hydraulic rollers. This one does not have a BBC part number, but its' grind number is 02-HR14-HR15-10-A01, 284/292 at the seat, 232/240 at .050. .600"/.600" valve lift, and 110 LSA. Wider LSAs can be had by changing that -10- to -12- or -14-......
The next hydraulic roller bigger, the 288/296, same lift, 114 LSA, made 630 BHP in a 9.2:1 540, and excellent and flat torque.....
These cams are dead-on reliable as far as valve train is concerned...
