I have a correct code 8 track for my 68 chevelle with no mounting brackets. I just bought another deck with brackets that is supposed to be out of a 69 chevelle but I havent been able to figure how it should mount. does anyone know if the 68 and 69 brackets are the same or a picture of the correct 68 brackets. or a web site with information or pictures.

The '68 and '69 brackets are different, I can't remember the exact difference, but I remember that the ashtray on the '69 has a speial knob or extension or something like that on it. You have email.
