 Bought new pad from Name Nrand restore company..I took complete console and stuff out and restored hvac box..The pad fits fine on drivers side but not passenger..its almost like the front needs picked up so the rest can sit further in towards windsheild. To the best of my knowledge I'm out of bracket adjustment.....anyone know a trick to this or do I need to order one from somewhere different?

Robert ...... as I'm not there to see what doesn't fit ... I'll just offer this little bit of insight as to what I've done on several installs ...... the bolts on the pad may not be in the proper place ... I've had to elongate the holes in the dash itself on cars to make the pad sit correctly :(
or try anther pad from anther vendor

This pad is one of the urathane injection molded type. the bolt hole area are little clips made into it...there's now real way for me too get a pic either..I hate butching up a new part...

What year? Different years attach with completely different methods, and also often have there own "problems" with the repros... With 70-72, I have been hearing of fitment issues (looking for a replacement)... With 66, I recall having a few issues with the eurathane pad, but it was years ago...

I attempted to install a 1970 repop dash pad.
I threw it in the trash becuase I couldn't, (in good concious) sell it to the next guy and I couldn't return it as I already painted it.
Return it and buy good used original on E-bay for the same price.

I'm going to have to sit on this one for a minute..I hate interior work anyway 100%...Makes me want too break it in 1/2 and ship it back with note letting them know they can keep change..But on good side...it's less weight if I leave it off and doesn't keep car from running.:noway:

On a 66, redo the old one is the best way ...... cover right over the existing cracks etc any good shop should be able to redo your originakl cracked pad

Does Just Dashes (or similar outfits) refoam the 70-72 dash pads??

I believe they do, but it's far cheaper buying a nice original on E-bay, and vinyl painting the pad.
