I run sunoco 93 in my 70 396.I Just noticed on the pump that it
contains 10%ethenol.Is this ok or not?.Ialso run octane boost every tankful.Need your opinions.

I think the 10% ethanol is the norm these days for emissions reasons. Most octane boosters are snake oil but there are some real things out there. In most cases when they advertise "4 points increase", they mean they will ad .4 octane, not 4.

I agree with the octane boosters " Snake oil ". Also I talked to Greg Woodruff in Y-Town Ohio (Restores Carbs). I was asking about my Q-Jet.
When the 454 sets for a week or so it is hard to start. He said the pump gas that you buy today will evaporate when a hot engine sets for a long time, I thought the carb was messed up.
Anyone else using pump gas (not leaded race gas )have a problem like this???
