Any opinions on ignition systems here? I installed my old mallory unilite from the old small block into the new big block, no problems, just thinking of buying something new (unilite is about 15 years old). Looking for a hot spark with a rev limiter. MSD? How about D.U.I.-Davis Unified Ignition, anyone using this system?

TallDeck 427, I just replaced my aging stinger ignition system on my big block, with a Accell 300+ ignition system from Jegs. For the price its a pretty nice system.
I opted to get the 375+ accessory module that allows timing controls from inside the car.
I love the start retart that allows a easier starting than what I had before. It also has a digital tach and 2 rev limiters. I the second Rev Limiter I use is for my line loc. The best feature on the box is the auto high speed timing retard. It can be used for nitrious, but I use it to set the total timing for what ever I want, while the engine is running, from the controller inside of the car. :D Its smaller that most aftermarket ignition systems and works with mostly any distrubutor. I use it with my "gutted" HEI.

If you have the old points dist, look at this website and make your own decision; www.davessmallbodyheis.com (http://www.davessmallbodyheis.com) He will take your old points dist, rebuild it to factory specs and install HEI and set to your engine specs, give it a look.

Dave can also set up your points distributor with an MSD style magnetic trigger. This would make an MSD CID ignition a "plug and play" installation.
