Hey all. I'm doing a big block to small block swap. I think I have all the small block brackets I need. Can anybody show me how and where these brackets mount?

specs: 327 with A/C 1966 Impala.

I'm at a dead end trying to figure this out!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, why are we going to a Small Block from a Big Block?

Sorry, I'm no help on those brackets... Just bumping your thread! :D

Do you have a 64-68 chevelle assembly manual? They will install exactly the same in your impala as they do in a short water pump chevelle.

I've got the Impala manual. I'll take a look there to see if they have an installation outline. Yes, its a short water pump.

Go to www.oldmusclecars.com . In the full size 65-75 heater-a/c-wipers section ( sect 9 page 9-5 ) there is an illustration of the mounting brackets. It looks like your missing bracket #6 in the diagram.

The upper (black) bracket is the lower front compressor support. The two holes on the right side of the photo mount using the water pump bolts.

The orange bracket is an alternator bracket. I don't think it is correct for a 1966 model.
