so i got 350 for my chevell as well as a th350 trans for my 68 chevelle. it origionally came with a 307 and powerglide. i tried to grind down the frame part of te motor mounts for it to fit the stock 350 ones but im not so sure i wanna do that for strentgh reasons....is there an easier way than to fabricate my own? what kind of work will i have to do to the crossmember for it to old a 350 trans?

Just use a set of 307 motor mounts and your 307 frame stands....They will work fine on your new 350. The problem comes in when you try to use 350/327/283 motor mounts on the 307 stands. Your transmission cross member will work fine going from a Powerglide to a Turbo 350.

the th350 will go directly in the same way the powerglide did. is the th350 new? if not, consider a 2004R. pays for itself in gas mileage and engine wear.

I have a 68 malibu that came with a 327/powerglide and recently swapped them out for a crate 327 and th350. The tranny bolts right up, no problems. I had to take 1/8th inch off or so on the motor mounts to get them to fit the frame. I used polyurethane short & wide style mounts.
X2 I used the short and wide poly mounts from energy suspension. The 350 dropped right in with no other modifications. Your crossmember should also work with no modifications. If you use a turbo 350 with a 6" tailshaft even your old driveshaft should work with no modifications.

100% Correct!! Even the driveshaft will fit.

x2 on the 200 4r. It went in in place of my PG as a direct swap. I just had to move the cross member back and the holes were already there
The TH350 should bold right in with no mods except perhaps moving the crossmember.
