I switched from a auto to a 4 speed ,i am installing a console do i need to put in a tunnel hump and if so why ? the car was a bench seat,:confused:

Shifter mechanism clearance------the shifter sits off to the side of the trans and will poke thru the floor ====where the floor and the tunnel meet
