As wisely noted above, you just gotta keep looking for used ones or spend the big bucks at Currie. Another thought...while no one will dispute the advantages of a 12 Bolt, if you're not planning on bolting on a pair of sticky slicks and making regular trips to the strip, why not a 10 Bolt?

The 10 bolt on it did not last 200 miles. It needs a 12 bolt.

How about a 9", cost me less than a 12 bolt.

In my personal opinion, I would buy a complete unit from Moser or someone like that. By the time you buy one, get new gears, new posi unit, or have yours redone, buy new axles new bearings and seals, then assemble it, you will have as much in it as if you just bought an aftermarket rear. And if you buy a new afteramrket rear it comes with a warranty. Build it yourself and if it breaks soon after it's yours :(

I want to add disc brakes will that impede the uniformity of buying a kit?

Is the pattern different on the lugs? Would a Disc brake kit be hard to find/install/be compatible with a chevelle kit?

I told you I was green!:D
