i am working on a 65 chevelle. its a frame off resto. i was have 2 inch droped spindles with 2 inch droped springs in the fornt and i also cut one coil to lower it another 2 incehs. the coils are from opg. the rear has 3 inch lowering spings. i have the body back on the frame and the car is not low at all. either someone has given my the wrong parts or somthing. i want to know what other people do to get there chevelle lowered without using air bags. any pics of cars with the parts lists would help, or just and lists of parts. i just want the car lower not slamed.

is the motor in the car? that will make a huge difference on where it sits.

I find cars usually tend to settle for a few weeks after new front springs. Drive it a bit, then recheck you height.

those 3" lowering springs in the back should drop it quite a bit and the front should set down also I would finish putting the car together and wait a couple months or even a summer it will drop down

that is a pretty decent amount of drop. I would wait to see wear everything ends up as previously mentioned.

yeah it doesnt sit right i have had the motor in it. it is 12 inches from the ground to the bottom of the rocker front and back. so air bags it is.

maybe your shocks are too big and they are bottomed out. but you are headed the right direction with bags... if you are going to be dropping it that much.
