Here's my combo:
350 .030 over, std deck
3.75" crank
flat top Speed Pro pistons with 2 valve reliefs (7cc)
Jegs 197cc heads, 72cc chambers, 2.05/1.60 valves
rpm air gap intake
demon 650 carb
turbo 350 trans
2600 stall
3.90 rear end
not sure of compression with this head/piston combo...can anybody offer up a calculation? The block has never been decked and I'm using a std. .040" head gasket. Engine currently has a CC 268XE cam, 224/230 @ .050, 477/480. Not sure if this is the best cam for the engine, and I know UDHarold is the man to ask! Anyone with any comments, critiques of my combo feel free to chime in. Thanks in advance.

I come up with 9.3:1 for the CR (.040x4.166 gasket, .025" deck). The 268 cam is about as big as you should go (DCR 7.79). If one of Harold's cams of about the same size will make more power, I don't know. My sig links to some utilities you might find helpful.
