i am going to buy a kit to have my tranny rebuild next month and how can i tell which one i have to order the right kit??

Both pans have 13 bolts. The TH-350 has 5 corners on the pan. One corner is just chopped off with a 45 deg angle. The TH-400 pan has 6 corners with two distinctive notches on one side, front and back.

Someone will likely post a pic of the different pans.

The TH350 pan is more or less square with a corner nipped off it.

shape of the pan. the TH350 will be almost square with a small part of one corner angled. the TH400 is for a lack of a better word a real goofy looking odd shape.

the way i always could tell the difference is buy the modulator the 400 is on drivers side up front and sideways the 350 is faceing the rear of the car on pasinger side

The th400 modulator is also on the pass. side,,just closer to the front. graemlins/thumbsup.gif
