Just wanted to say Hi to everyone on here. I've been reading on this fourm for a while now, and I've found a bunch of helpful information. So I would like to say thanks to everyone. I always had chevelles when I was in high school, doing the drag racing/street racing thing (I'm pretty sure thats how we all started) but as I got a little older I got in to the river thing, and drag boats. I always talked about doing another car but never really found anything worth buying. So about 3 years ago the guy that owned the shop next to me, had this 68 chevelle that just sat in his parking lot. He was the 3rd owner and ,the car was in very good shape. I would always bug him about selling it but he would never give it up. So finally one day he gave in and the car was mine for $3500 Which was a steal!!! I've been working on it for the last 8 months now and I have to say I've been having a blast. The motor is a 496 that came out of a friends drag boat. It has Dart 320 heads, mooningham 10-71 blower, with 1050 dominators. I just ordered a set of 2-3/8 lemmons headers for it, the trans is a tubro 400 with a brake. The rear end is a 9' ladder bar with coil overs. Billiet specialities street lite wheels with 33x15x18.5 ET streets. The car is going to bee 100% street legal, and will see more street driving then track time. I will try to see if I can figure out how to post some pics.
