Put the 3 in mandrel bent exhaust from Pypes last night...wow sounds...gooooooooood. Such an improvement guess ill be getting more tickets now. graemlins/clonk.gif

Doggy69 (name?) how do the tailpipes fit under the quarter panel? Do they hang below or do they tuck up between the quarter and frame rail? Please post a pic if you got it!
I'm in the market for a new exhaust for my 65 and am looking at both the Pypes and TorqueTech systems, and need more looks at how the tailpipes fit.

no pic yet but ill see what i can do. I think it fits good but not sure what your asking. I looked at both companies and went with pypes bc as far as i could see both companies offer the same thing except pypes was $200 less

Based in hatfield pa. I myself went with the goerlich xlerators for muffs bc of price and great flow rating look like a hooker max flow or whatever its just a piece of pipe with holes drilled in it letting some noise die in the muffler sounds great but not too loud.I payed $445 for complete system x pipe clamps hangers muffs tailpipes and even reducers a++++

how was the fit? did you do alot of cutting or was it right on? I have about 3 weeks til I purchase a set of pipes and I'd like to do it right the FIRST time, for a change.

Fit was good...but each car is different so they give you an extra piece of pipe to account for how far forward or back your headers lay, (they also sell manifold kits).

Also after a test drive It was noticed that the car actually ran better and accelerated harder. I really didnt realize how restrictive the system that was on their was. It looked like a 20 yo aftermarket system with what Ia ssumed to be turbo mufflers. The 540 actually tore loose the baffles in one of the mufflers and I knew it was time to replaced them. I found out how ****ty the old system was. Playing with dd2k i figured i was looseing nearly 80hp bc of the ****ty exhaust.
