I just got back from Pomona's Super Chevy Show. The car and spectator count was down considerable from last year: Nascar was running at Fontana, the Good Guys were at Las Vegas, and the temps were over 100º. Bomber67 brought out his 65 El Camino with the new 454 BB. He had a few problems but ran in the low 11's. Pretty good for the first time out.

I ran well. With new best of 11.67, a 114.97 mph, and a perfect light. I went out in the 5th round. The heat on Saturday and Sunday slowed the car down.

Lost, hit the brakes but shouldn't have. I had the better R/T but I thought I might break out. As shown by the 1/8 mile time and MPH the car was much slower. I let the other guy take the strip. Big boo boo.

All in all, it was a pretty good weekend. I was pretty happy with my lights.

WTG Pat graemlins/thumbsup.gif We've been rained out the last 3 points races,its starting to get old. Oh well,it won't be long and we'll be wishing we had a little rain. At least someone is getting some track time :mad:

Pat, thanks again for everything - hopefully your '66 Tow El Camino will forgive me for getting to know it so well smile.gif

I still say that Pat manages to do more with less than anyone I know - his is one well set up 355 smallblock combo. His parts list is not over the top, yet he regularly humbles formidable competitors.

Pat, it was great getting to meet you and your elky, and I can't wait to see you both at the next event! It was too bad with that last run, you were on fire with good lights!! Like I said, next years plan is to have the velle in the pits, and on the track, right there with ya! As soon as I get the images and videos off of my camera I'll be happy to post them, but be warned, the video comes from my still camera!

I don't know why but I get sound but no picture. I check and have the latest version and all upgrades for Media Player. Any thoughts?

Brandon, can you post in a different format. I removed, downloaded, and re-installed Windows Media Player 7.1 (Win 98). Still no picture. AVI or MPG should work.
