Anyone use fine steel wool on chrome bumpers? Will it get the little squiggle lines out? An old timer told me about it but thought I would ask first.

Used these on chrome rims quite a few times. figbash Sep 2nd, 08, 6:13 PM Steel is rated at 3.5-4.5 on Mohs hardness scale, hard chrome is rated at 8. You can use any grade of steel wool you like without fear of scratching. I'd be a bit cautious about the Brillo pads though, who knows what they use for abrasive in that stuff.
