Removed the pan, It`s a 2 bolt main(supposedly a 4 bolt) Crank # 3832442 I think it`s a 350 Put the piston all the way down an measured 31/2 inches to top of piston (crude tape measure) Doesnt appear to be clearanced anywhere on the block. Glad I just traded the old 307 for it!Pretty darn sure it`s just a rebuilt 350. Can anyone verify the crank number. Thank`s Dad

442 is a cast 350 crank.

Thank`s Leo, I bought the chevelle for my son. We`ve thought about joining Md chapter but with my schdule it would be hard to attend anything! Jeffrey`s only 15 an this will be his 1st car. He`s a good kid an almost all money`s have been his!!( Disc brake`s added an now a 350 with dual exhaust)71 malibu 60,000 original miles! Jeffrey has been workin Hay field`s an other odd job`s to pay for upgrades to this car. Also worked hand an hand with me to do the work! He won`t get his License till June of 05! He like`s the ole school look. No 20" wheels for this young man! We will look into joining when he can attend without the ole man!! Dad
