Hi,
I have a Holley 4160 (LIST-3310-2) and have a couple of questions about the electric choke I just installed. First question, is the choke metal flap supposed to stay open? It just stays open and won't close. I'm not sure if I have the fast idle cam in the right position or not. Second question, where do I find the mark on the electric choke cap and where do I line it up at? I see an arrow pointing to the right, but I don't know if that is the mark. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ethan

On the edge of the choke cover and on the choke base at the top should be a series of lines. About the top center on the base will be a "triangle or arrow head" instead of a line. The cover should have a similar set. If you line up the triangles, that is the neutral point. If you move the cover triangle to the right of the base triangle the choke flap should close.

I typically turn the choke cover to the right until the flap just closes completely (with the throttle held open) and use that as the starting point. The final position should be fairly close to that.

Verle and Mike,
Thanks for the help guys! Found the notch on the cover and lined it up with the one on the housing and now the choke flap is closed and works great.

Thanks,
Ethan
