Hey there Pat, I was just wondering if you know what's going on with your nephew Aaron. I haven't seen him around here or heard from him on yahoo for a good while. I know he was kinda busy with work and stuff, just hope everything is good with him.

He's doing fine. I saw him a couple weeks ago, he was working in San Diego, and drove up. He's working a lot of OT. BTW, next Sunday is the Summit race at Irwindale. You should come out. They run time only between rounds. Plus 3 passes in the morning.

To participate, what do you need? Maybe next time I can try to get in.

On the 16th. You just need to give them $20 and get through tech to run. $10, I think, to watch.

If you run time only, it's just like Thursday nights. You run heads up against the car next to you for a time slip. The Summit race is a bracket race with different classes. I doubt you'd want to run in that. It's best to run some time-onlys to get a feel for the track and get the car consistant. To run the Summit Series cost $45 per race plus $10 to register a car number (one time charge), unless you have an NHRA permanent number. There are usually about 25-30 cars running T-O. One day last year I went out the first round, so I ran T-O and got some 6 passes in that afternoon (in addition to the 3 everybody gets in the morning).

HMmmmmmmm....maybe I'll try to run my car for time slips then....just gotta talk to the wife first, make sure no plans and that I'll have the money to run. What time are they opening? Now, I just gotta go readjust my rockers again, bleed my brakes and get her ready for action. graemlins/thumbsup.gif
P.S. You running in the bracket race or for time slips?

Maybe Slowpoke and one of TC's new members, 68 421, might want to go. Hopefully I can get my brakes going good so I don't have to worry about downshifting to slow down like last time. Well, if all goes well, I'll send you an email and my cell # if you'd like...see you at the track graemlins/thumbsup.gif
