I am looking to figure out what to do with my 68 SS396 and I need some advice. I need to both rear quarters due to the previous owner having his head somewhere where it shouldn't have been. The fender well is beat up and folded under, and they cut part bottom rear corner of the fender to accommodate bigger tires, or something. My question is this... is a full face quarter http://npd.dirxion.com/Main.asp ok to use or am I asking for trouble. I really don't want to have to replace the entire quarter partly because of cost. Am I asking for more work with this full face quarter?
Thanks

Have you even taken the car to a shop, to see what they recomend? I know most shops will want a full quarter to work with, but there is really no need for it if the shop is compitent enough to do the work, and the damage is only in a certain area.
The shop that just installed quarters in my '67, asked for full ones, and that's what I ordered. That will never happen again. Especially since, they both were cut at the bottom of the sail pannel at the body shop. And FWIW, the quarters with the sail pannel were $200 higher, each. And, although they did a magnificant job, I feel I was screwed.
In the process, the outer wheel houses and trunk drop offs were also replaced. So be prepaired for more damage than you can see now.
