Filled the trim holes in the sides with Silicon Bronze carriage bolts. Rubber washers on each side and stamped steel nuts hold them in.

It was only about 25 bucks for the parts, and if I find trim I can still put it on. It also seems to go with the style of the car better than holes.

Reminds me of rivets on an airplane.

It is meant to be different, so that is a good thing. It's OK to say how you really feel about it. It's my car, so I am going what I like with what I can on it. The bolts and washers will fill the holes without having to go to Body shop h-e-double hockey sticks for 2 years, and they were cheaper than trim would be if I could find it. It is interesting to me to see what people think when they see it, so any comments are welcome. especially if you don't like it. Just be nice :D

I like it... reminds me of steampunk. I think a steampunk chevelle would be bada$$! You'll have to take them all out to paint it though. Then again, flat black is pretty sweet.

Just make sure they are sealed good. Water can behind them and start some rust. Youy may remove them in a couple of years and have a mess.

Obviously you are going for the rat rod look. If that's the case, then anything goes and I would say it is unique and cool. Go any further than that and it would look like ass. Of course, as a fellow enthusiast I say that with a lotta love...........

i think it looks pretty kickass:yes: but it would look alot better if it was a straight line, the holes look a little off from the pics

yeah, that is because the quarter is a bit wrinkly. From the side from a distance it is straight. From 30 feet at 40MPH it will look fine. :)

I have been thinking of plating the emblems all to match. Maybe put a steam powered hood actuator on it too ;) Nawwww

Thing would probably get stolen and taken to the recycling yard because the thief would think the whole thing was bronze. Waste of both of our time.
