Im going to attempt to pull the springs on my 540 with out removing the heads. I really want this to go smooth, can you guys lend some opinions on which one to purchase. I already own the one that acts like a pry bar and uses the rocker stud as a pivot point. Was hoping to find something a little better. And should there be any problems with compressing springs for a roller in the 200 to 225lb seat pressure range.

Thanks Rich

Moroso (http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=MOR-62370&N=120%20400105%204294925139%204294925138%20303551) makes one that screws to the stud that works very well. It cams over to hold the spring while you remove the keepers.

A ragtop with a 540...very cool! is it a super sport? Definitely go with the moroso tool or equivalent.I just changed mine with the old pry bar type,it was a bit of a pain but it worked ok.It would have been much easier with the moroso. My springs are 260 @ 1.950.I didnt use an air compressor either the pc seals kept the valves up while I changed them.
