Since our heavy A bodies need torque to go, I'd like your inputs on Comp cam's Xtreme energy cams. I hear they make some pretty good torque? Just wondering what one of those babys would be like in an A body as compared to a non 4X4 cam.

Other than noisy as heck, fine. A bit smoother idle than a std XE, which makes it nice for a "stock" type ride. But noisy. No dyno/ET slips on this one, it is a show queen type car. TONS better than the GM 325 hp cam in a 396. For a 454, I like Chris Corwel's grind MUCH better as it makes the TQ without any noise, the old UD 280/88. I'd look to a current Voodoo at 262-268 duration, unless you own the XE 4X4 already.
