THanks, Brian. LOL, that "10.95" you see was my dial-in, not my reaction time. I had a bye run, only actually had to race three other cars. My low reaction time got me the bye run.

Next contestant, please.... :D

Thanks for all the replies. Man, I sure feel like a knucklehead forgetting my helmet. Must be getting old and senile. I don't recommend it by the way graemlins/sad.gif

Scott, my shift light is set to come on at 6,100 for 1-2 and 6,200 2-3. With the playback tach my actual shift rpm is usually 6,600 1-2 and 6,500 2-3. Car traps at 6,600 with the 28" tires at 124-125.

Ken, what kind of camera do you take those videos with? A digital camcorder or a regular one and then convert the file over?
Why didn't the track guys stop you for not wearing a helmet??

Ken, Nice car and equally nice runs. Your car leaves so smooth, it's hard to believe it's a 10-second car.

Nice ass-whoopin' on the 4th gen Camaro in the second video....my 67 will smoke my H/C '97 Z28 too...by a long way :D

Thanks again, guys. You're all too kind :D

Jim,

The camcorder we use is a Sony digital 8mm model TRV130. It cost around $400. It has a firewire output so that you can hook it directly into a pc. Unfortunately my PC didn't have a firewire connection. I purchased a new ATI All-in-Wonder video card that takes composite (RCA) jacks in. I plug the video and stereo outputs from my camera into the card (through a provided patch panel) and capture it to the pc. So the stuff your're seeing is digital-analog-digital. The clarity would be better if it was pure digital without the middle step, but still pretty decent. I recommend this camera for those that don't want to spend $1k or more on a really high end video recorder. In addition to me, my brother, my cousin and one of my friends has the exact same camera. All very pleased with it. Damn, I'm sounding like a Sony commercial graemlins/clonk.gif
