I have been following the how to hook post as I have been having similar problems. My best pass before this weekend had been a 10.77 @ 128 but with a 1.70 60 ft. The front suspension is all stock including the shocks with polyurethane bushings. On the rear I have SSM lowers, boxed stocked uppers, stock sway bar and CE adjustable shocks set at 50/50. I was running 295/65/15 BFG drag radials. I ran a best 60ft of 1.63 but was ususally in the 1.70 range with tire spin. I bought a set of 29x11.50x15 Hoosier quick time pros and disconnected the front sway bar. I ran 7 passes this weekend all with 60fts between 1.50 and 1.52. I was going to try the shock nut trick, but the car was hooking good and consistent so I left it alone.
I never was able to run a full pass as we were racing at an indexed heads up race and I had to stay under a 10.70 index . My first qualifing pass I ran 10.74 @ 110 lifting around 1000 ft. I made it to the finals, got treed pretty bad and had to try and run the guy down and lost as I broke the index by running 10.67 trying to hit the brakes right at the end.
