I purchased a set of Moog part number 5390 front coil springs. There listed for 70 Chevelle heavy duty without AC. Anyone have these springs installed with a BBC without AC or with AC. Is it the right spring? Hve done a search no luck. I will use springs in 70 without AC and a 454.

I have them installed in my 70 with a dart block and aluminum heads, no air, bolt on fiberglass hood. Also have aftermarket a-arms (TRZ) and I believe they actually change the installed height of the spring because the lower a arm spring perch is a bit lower now (farther away from the frame spring perch). Anyway, the car sets perfectly level but I was thinking if I had the stock arms, it may set too high. Just my guess.

Thanks for tips. Well I replaced the front coil springs yesterday. I measured the front end before change started @ 25" when all was installed and lowered now front end measures 27 3/4 Inch both pass and drivers side with 15 inch tires 28" tall. Installed new lower ball joints also TRW ones WOW there made in the USA and only paid $17 each with lifetime warranty from Murrays auto parts. The MOOG PN# 5390 made in USA front coils gave me the little extra clearance I was looking for paid $72 total Advance auto parts matched Auto Zone for price of springs. Nice stance and ride is ultra smooth. Its a 70 Chevelle with a BBC. Will post before and after photos later.
