Ok.. I just saw my new trans last week and I'm heavily weighing pulling the gear vendors. Its not heavy at all (considering the car) but since I don't really leave a 3-4 town area in the car under its own power, I don't really need it, the 22% overdrive isn't enough of a boost with a slushy converter anyway. At the used sale price I've felt out, I'd get money for some 28" tall tires too to see if I can approach a decent 60'..
back to the question at hand..

I make 550hp/550tq; I think there is (are) a way(s) I can find quite a few more with the car as is.
Should I try to get the trans in this week and get a local shop to spin me up a shaft w/ 1330's? (what I am using now)
Or should I wait & use denny's?
If I use denny's, does anyone have any suggestions as to whether I'd be better served by a HD w/ 1330's or a nitrous ready w/ 1350's?
Are 1350's needed where I am, or are 1330's ok?
Since NED is not very slick friendly (no slicks on street nights) I will only use MT/hoosier DOT slicks. 500-3000 miles total driving each summer, depending on what breaks.. Car use is either putting around very slow or on it 100%..
Even with the gear vendors out I'll tip the scales @ over 4000 with my street tires on, probably 10lbs under 4000 w/ 26" et Streets on (track trim).

And.. most important.. since the cooler/converter/lines need a real shop to flush out the bits of the old trans, I was wondering if it was possible to use the measurements off of someone elses chevelle for the correct length driveshaft? Or does my car being lower dramatically alter anything?
This way I could show up at the shop with the new shaft and just have them do it; seeing as I need a good flush job done by a reputable shop I am driving pretty far to...

Thanks guys..
I should get to bed, gotta go back to the doc tuesday for a chest x-ray if this doesn't clear.. (will be 14 days sick @ that point, feels like I'm breathing mercury....)
