ok guys. i have bought a 66 chevelle ss. it is a 13817 car but the motor has been changed to 350 and the trans is 350turbo and the rear end is a 10 bolt 4:56. due to financial constraints i want to make it a good dependable driver for the time being. later on i will change to 396 4 sp. where would a person start on this project? i have taken out the interior and the floor pans are not bad at all. some patch work need. what do ya'll think?

Depends on what you want to do but IF you plan on driving it, I would do the brakes and suspension first then get a highway gear in it second.

Join a GREAT bunch of fellow Chevelle nuts if you haven't already..

Hello Rick. Do what it takes to make it safe. Then start on cosmetics.

Agree, suspension such as ball joints, steering arms. Brakes, bearings, axle seals if necessary, exhaust leaks, fuel leaks, electrical issues, charging system, headlights-tailights-running lights, alignment, tires, shocks, hoses, belts, tune up.
