guy's, i've read a bunch of prior posts on solid rollers now i need help with picking one.here's my spec's. standard bore 400 motown block
3.8 stroke scat 4340 crank
6 " scat rods
forged mahle flat top pistons
afr 195 heads 74cc chambers
compression should be 10.5
i want this engine to rev 6500-7000.

this engine is going into a summer driver 1965 chevelle with a stick shift. gears are 3.42. once per summer it will see drag use. the transmission does have overdrive and is geared to be at 1900 rpm @ 60 mph.
i want a solid roller because they will rev more freely. i do not want an overly aggressive cam that bucks the overdrive. what are your recommendations? how do your suggestions idle? thanks tom

I havent used one, but Crane has some beautiful street SRs/ A buddy runs one in his bbc.

Down towards the bottom something like the SR232-236 is about right. 236 at least with 10.5:1.
