I seem to recall that there was a small block high-performance replacement mechanical fuel pump that was a factory application circa the late 60's. Seems like the application was something like a 1965-72 "Corvette" or "High Performance" GM fuel pump application. I also believe it was said to be available currently at your friendly local parts store perhaps as a remanufactured pump.

Anybody know any details on this pump like a part number or a more accurate description? I need a pump that provides a little more fuel than stock but don't want to spend much for this particular project.
