I work for a company that does automation equipment. We have a conference for our customers coming up where we set up some nuts/bolts displays and demos in the parking garage below the hotel. One of our VPs wants to give it more of a "garage feel", so they want to have my Chevelle on display too.
Part of the stuff on display will be our thermo-imaging capabilities. I am about to suggest that for the sessoin on thermo-imaging that they start my car and image the motor. However, just idling with my big cam, everyone would soon be in tears from the exhaust. How could I vent the exhaust approximately 100' to the outside? The car has dual 2.5" pipes downturned at the bumper. Is there some kind of cheapo slinky-type tube that small, like dryer vent tube? Would it develop so much back pressure that it wouldn't run?

Dryer vent tube may not take the heat over 100'.
I must admit, I've used it in 6 foot sections as exhaust hose, and it held up. :) But to be honest, it really isn't up to the task.

First thing is to MAKE SURE that the indoor venue will let you run the car. Fire Marshals tend to freak out when they hear about cars running indoors due to fire and CO hazards. If you can clear it with the venue then some nice heavy dury hose should work well.

That great about your car
but I think you might should us a electric motor instead and or different light bulbs and ballast. The best fun I have had with thermo-imaging was with the human body.

Part of the fun of using my car was that I could get a thermo image of my headers to make sure that all my cylinders have the same degree (pun) of happiness.
They guys doing the thermo demos say that the human body reading is fun. They had it hooked up to a big video display, and caught a guy passing gas in the crowd :)

I agree with Mat on checking out the codes first, as far as venting goes it depends how far you have to travel to get it outside, straight up and out would be the best because of the heat rising theary, and of course you never want your exhaust hoses lower than your exhaust. They also make duct blowers for home use in flexible hosed duct work.

Oops, stating the obvious eluded me.... it's on the bottom floor of a parking garage. They curtain off the area. I think I'm OK there...

Usually it's fun venting gases at indoor venues, just remember to keep moving...........64elkynss

Would have loved to seen that happen.
The vendor I was working with / training me did a shot of a lady near us (she is a hottie ) her crotch area was THE hottest part of the shot. thus proving she was truly a hottie.;)
