Gary Hartzell Aug 25th, 08, 9:38 AM I bought a 12 bolt rear end and supposed to fit my 64 Chevelle. On diff. tube is number: KDC 0552. Around the rear of the housing in various places are these numbers: CON 3 87880 12345 B171. Does anybody know what this thing came out of and will it fit my Malibu? thanks. Mr Chevelle Aug 25th, 08, 6:20 PM The numbers don't jive for a Chevelle rear end, it might be a BOP A-body and will fit but you'll need to find a site that lists BOP ID numbers. Keep in mind that some BOP's have 12 cover bolts but don't have a 8.875" ring gear with 12 ring gear retaining bolts.
