Body (66) has been in metal for a few months-kids, metal work, etc. Both lower quarters needed patch panels, and the area behind rear window and sail panels replaced/fabricated. Now it's covered in Rage-Extreme filler, blocked out. I was going to prime the entire shell with Dupont self-etching primer, Chromapremier CF 22860-S. 2 medium coats.

The question is, will Slicksand stick to the Chromapremier self-etching primer? I heard that Slicksand doesn't stick well to bare metal spots. I have bought a 2.0 gun off EBay, and plan to spray the shell's quarters and top with the slicksand and guide coat it and block it out till perfect. Thanks.

I've have never had a problem with slicksand not sticking to bare-metal. :D

Your 2.0 primer gun will do the job.

Poly primer(slick sand) is not meant to be applied over self etching primer, the two products can react causing the poly primer to lose adhesion and fall off.

Personally I spray the car with 2 coats of epoxy primer then topcoat it with your slick sand.

Personally I like spoxy from SPI

I also hear good things about the NASON epoxy which is duponts cheaper paint line.
