Looking for all the info I can get on a cam that was in a swap meet engine my brother picked up a couple months ago because I think the motor may end up in my 67 coupe (rather than his 68 elke).
Markings on the cam are :
Lunati
DADQ
109
SPFBZ
305 314
I'm guessing this must mean it has 305/314 adv. duration on a 109 centerline. Not sure what the lift is and haven't measured it yet but thought someone here might recognize it. Looks like it's in 4 deg adv. (3 slot crank pulley)
Motor is a 30 over 396 (406 casting). Pistons are supposed to be 11:1's. The heads are 3904390 which according to Mortec has a 98cc chamber. He was told they had had some bowl work and that valves were opened up to 2.25/1.88
I would be running either a 850 dp on a performer 2.0, or thinking of putting on my 2x4 setup w/ twin 660's, I know there is no performance advantage to the 2x4 but some things just look so dang cool you have to run them anyway.
Either setup will have a single plate 100hp N20 setup which will be there if needed.
Rounding it out I've got a 3000 stall th400 & 4:10 gears, 27" tall street tires but thinking about a set of MT drag radials.
Any ideas on how much I'll be giving up with that Humongo cam? Would it help any to put on my rect ports? (840's)
The car will see some street duty this summer (back and forth 5 mi. to work about 7 days a month and cruise nights every chance I get.)
