Thanks for opening up this thread.

I am interested in buying a 1970 Chevelle convertible, but need a car that can fit four people, comfortably, on road trips.

Is the 1970 Chevelle convertible a TRUE four seater, or are the rear seats too tight?

my bench seat 68-conv would fit four people fine, could fit a couple of kids in the middle seat spots with enough room for all. :)

Four people is no problem!

In high school, I took 6 auto shop guys, and myself, out to lunch once, THAT was cramped!

In fact, fwiw, I have been trying to find some new style seats to put in my chevelle and the problem I'm having is the rear seat in my car is much wider then the rear seats in alot of modern four door cars! I think the rear seat in the chevelle is like 52"-54" wide.

'70 Chevelle with bucket seat has seat belt provision for five passengers.

'70 Chevelle with bench seat has seat belt provision for six passengers.

In High School I got 9 in the Chevelle at Ocean City. 7 girls and 2 guys, Man that was fun!

Hello and welcome Michael. The interior of the chevelle is roomy. 4 people is easy to do and comfortable.
