my question is if i remove the floor pan is there a chance that it could distort the body without the floor pan in should i weld some kind of a brace from door to door or something like that and the same for the trunk pan thanks.

With the post car you really shouldn't have to worry about bracing the door openings. It is the strongest body design because of the post. I just got finished with floorpans and trunk floor on my 65 and there was no difference in the door opening measurements afterward.
If you have to do rocker panels, then I would brace the doors.

I forgot to ask if the body is off the chassis, if you are doing the floors with the body off I would tack a brace between the doors at the rear of the opening just to be safe. With the body on, the mounts should hold the width just fine. I did the floors and trunk with the body bolted down and then pulled the body off. (1st time for me, pretty scary:confused:) Do you have to put in new seat braces? If not you can skip the brace, they would hold the width. - Mike
