I was reading the April Corvette Fever and saw a listing for two new Vortec heads: 25534351 and 25534371. Both heads have dual intake bolt patterns, 65CC Chambers, and 2.00 and 1.55 valves. The-351 head has 175CC intake runner, and the -371 head has 206CC I and 77CC E runners. They look to be some good heads and wanted to pass the info along.

Bob, according to the write-up, the smaller heads are meant to be a hi-po version of the standard vortec heads. The larger heads are supposed to be a lower-cost alternative to the aluminum fast burn heads. The heads sound like a good street head. I'm curious what they will be selling for. Wes

I wonder if the stock springs support more lift now too?

I wonder if they'll be cheap like the current heads.

When I was out the Performace Industry Show in December GM had those heads on display they looked pretty good, These heads are going to replace the old Bow-ties, They will also take the older valve covers or the newer center bolt as well. I expect the price to higher then the current price of Vortecs.

Hmmm, Sounds a lot like Edelbrock E-Tec heads.
Might have to try the 206cc. Suspect my stockers are restricting my 383 more than I'd like.

When will these be out?

I hope there out before i purchase heads for my Twin-Turbo 283...might be able to pull 500hp with less boost than expected. Keep us posted on when they are coming out. graemlins/beers.gif

I wonder if they're gonna take as long to release 'em as they did with their HT383 crate engine.
