I posted a week ago about the rearend in my step-father's Lemans breaking... ( the pin slipped out of the carrier and blew a hole in the bottom of the case big enough to stick your fist in. )

He found a 12 bolt out of a 70 Olds 442. He tore into it and found the pinion has 16 teeth and the ring gear has 41. Is this a 2.56 gear? 41/16

Never mind - I figured it out. Busy day and I had a brain fart for a few minutes.

FYI - An Olds rear-end with 12 cover bolts may NOT have the 12 bolt 8.875" ring gear.........
