im rebuilding a 1969 ss 396 375 chevelle the rear end is a 12 bolt with posi and 4:56 gears want to repalce yoke seal and crush sleeve what is the right way to do this what is the torque on the nut.

Torque on nut is approx. 150 Ft Lbs.

Because you're replacing the crush sleeve the right way is to pull your carrier and set the pinion preload, reassemble and run a pattern on the ring and pinion...........shim the pinion and carrier as necessary.
