Does anyone know how acurate NADA is on classic cars? Are their prices realistic or just "pie in the sky" estimates?

In my experience, it's not very close on anything, much less classic cars. One example is boats and outboard motors....NADA says I should be able to buy an 80's Evinrude 85hp outboard for $140.00 the going price for one is almost $1000.
From what I see, it's about 20% high on classic cars. Just my .03

They occasionally get near a real value, but vary wildly. It gets even more terrible when you try to use the options page; they have a 4 cylinder, 6 cylinder and RS packages available as options for a '70 SS.

I dont remember them ever being accurate on anything. I always get a chuckle out of those that post details about the NADA claims that thier car might be worth, in thier classified ads.
