I Own A '68 Concours Sport Coupe With The Oldsmobile Split Bench Seat. For Whatever Reason, I Would Like To Add Headrests. Anyone Make A Kit To Install These?? Any Ideas What I Can Do?? Anyone Have A Set For Sale?? Thanks! Geno

gm-used the same head rests on the 68-72 cars
head rests were optional in 68 and standard on the 69-72.
should be able to add some factory head rests to the seats in your car by finding some from a donor car..... :)

I have a 71 without head rests
not that that really matters... I do agree though.. you shouldn't have much trouble picking up a used set. Try... ebay?

Keep in though that bench seat and bucket seat headrests are totally different and will not interchange.:noway:

The easiest way is to find a '69~'72 bench, take the backs off of your seat and swap the covers over to the later model seats. You'll have to make a cut for the headrest post in your covers, but it'll be covered by the headrest lock. Bench seat headrests have a single "blade" about 2" wide, buckets have two round posts.
Try to get seats with good material on the headrests, I've heard that it's difficult to recover them correctly.

I have a set of black headrests in real good shape alone with the lock set up for the top of the seat. They are black if that matters. Let me know if your interested. Thanks
