Im double checking any play in the crank. This is mainly done by the rear main cap correct? I dont have a dial indicator or anything, I used to large screw drivers and went between each main cap. It spins freely and sounds perfect. The rear main cap is what keeps it from sliding front or back right? Almost got it smile.gif

Pnutkemist,
Where did you come up with that name, it's great.
Make sure that you align your thrust bearing before torquing down the rear main bolts first.
(Move the crank back and forth, then hold the crank forward when you snug the bolts on the rear main cap).
The end play on a crank can be checked with a feeler gauge. Force the crank forward or backwards, whatever is easier for you. Then measure between the thrust bearing and crank thrust face. The maximum end play is .007 in.
