I'm looking for a glass hood and front bumper for my 67. Harwood doesn't make one so, what other companies make quality hoods and/or bumpers. How is Fiberglass Trends, they are local to me.

Not sure about Fiberglass Trends, but VFN makes nice hoods for the earlier chevelles. I have a VFN 4" cowl pin -on that needed minimal prep to be painted. The underside was nice too.

Glasstek is a very good fit for the 67.

I got a 4" cowl hood from Glasstek. It was very well made. I'm happy with it.

I have a 2.5" Glastek cowl hood on my 69 Elky.
Nice piece and Glastek will build whatever you want.

Pat,

I have a fiberglass trends on my chevelle. I was happy with the hood, they put small steel wire inside the fiberglass mold for the cowl for more support...I liked that. I did buy some springs from them, but they were too weak. I am using unlimited's springs that seems to work out perfect.

Contact Troy at Bruis Glassworks 877-238-5057 or www.bruisglassworks.com (http://www.bruisglassworks.com) tell him Sean in el paso sent you, they have super parts and very nice prices. He has even mentioned to me that we could set up a group purchase discount if we could get enought people, says like 5 or more and he could work on some cheaper pricing.
Thanks
Sean

i have a 2' glasstek on my 67. theres at least a 1/2' bow in it at the fenders. dont have a clue how to fix it. and it appears to be getting worse even with the light duty hood springs. also the cowl had to be trimmed to clear the wiper blades. overall the quality is good, just dosent fit properly.

Thanks guys, I'll be checking into the companies mentioned. I'm thinking of a bolt on but not using any springs. I'll probably use either pins in the hinges or a support rod.
