need some help here on the right and left sides are the pieces that touch the inner wells in the trunk are they seam welded or are they spot welded and i have the same question for the small braces that touch the inner wells thanks.:confused:

thank you for the info now do i calk where the trunk pan meets the inner well and tail panel.

Yes, you will need to use seam sealer and / or caulking after you spot weld the trunk in.

Visit Eastwoodco.com They have a brush on seam sealer and I believe a tube type caulking as well. I used the brushable one. It seemed to work pretty well.

I prefer the 3M seam sealer in the tube, you can control the amount you need in relation to the size of the seam and then brush it smooth with a acid brush dipped in thinner.
We put a new trunk in my Dad's 66SS 2 years ago and the seams still look great.
