Order the new seat buns ( foam ) when you order the springs. Seats will be like new.

If you can get the seats stripped and repainted getting ALL NEW springs and foam. The main reason seats turn to crap so soon after being redone is the springs and foam not being replaced. Friend who does interiors told me this and he also need to reweld seat frames due to cracks and breakage.

I agree with the new foam. I'm afraid that he will use tyoical dime store foam when you need to use foam molded in the correct shape to have a top shelf seat. Be forwarned though because there are a couple suppliers for seat foam and one fits well and the other foam puts you in the headliner. Unfortunately, I don't know which supplier has the correct foam buns.

Mello....$300 to have both front and rear seat repadded doesn't sound bad. I paid $100 per bucket on mine. The covers were like new, but the previous owner just went over the old original pad and burlap. My guy didn't use buns and just beefed up the padding and put the old covers back on. Mine were so saggy it was like sitting in a hole, and I was afraid of stretching the new cover seams and having the springs bust thru. I didn't need new springs ...if your covers and frame parts are in good shape like mine were, padding may be all you need... Made a huge difference.
