: What tire will fit on my 66? oregonchevelle Aug 30th, 04, 12:49 AM I am wondering what would be the best set-up for my 66 chevelle. I get no traction with the 245 60R 15 BFG TAs. I want to drive the car on the street and strip on occasion. I run a Richmond 4 speed and cannot get my tires to hook up at all at the track. They should fit yours with no mods. if you run 4.5" backspace on the rear wheels. You can make them fit with 4.25" backspace with a little massaging of the inside lip of the quarter panels.
