Almost done with my motor, heres what i got 454 4 bolt block callies 4 in stroke crank with 6.385 lunati pro mod rods UD 296/304 f10 solid cam chevy signature series aluminum heads 118cc opened chamber 12.5:1 CP pistons 30 over(custom made for that chamber design) my 2 choices of intakes are p/n 7521 weiand team g with a 850 double pumper or p/n 8018 weiand stealth with a 850 vacuume secondaries its a weekend warrior (street car) whats the pros and cons on my 2 choices i would like to stick with the stealth so i can keep my hood if not then ill have to buy another hood o well and i think the vacuume secondaries will be better for the street also its a 4 speed close ratio and 12 bolt rear 411's thanks ...mike

I just bought the stealth and I have a radical BB myself and man I love it big change over the open plenum I was running.I chose it over the AirGap because we tested the gap for the 15hp
gain advertised but only 7 actual and other intake's blocking bypass under carb had the same gains. graemlins/hurray.gif

69 ss rat,i thought that team g is just a bit to big every body wants bigger but ill probably do better with a stealth, what about the difference between the double pumper vs: the vacuume secondaries? how about the rpm range on the stealth my cams range is 4000-7500... thanks mike

Mike,
Why not call Holley/Weiand and ask them. They spend thousands of dollars on research and are best qualified to tell you which manifold will work best for your combination.

thats a thought, just have bad luck really finding the right guy to answer the phone, just for an example i called lunati 3 times for a cam and got three different answers then i waited 2 weeks to talked to harold and he gave me the right answer for my motor 296/304 f10 cam from a ud design, well i was happy about that and he told me about the motors he has run with that cam and the pros about it seems like anybody can recommend any part especially a sales guy but exsperience is the key i think im on the right track, just trying to put the iceing on the cake! the guys on this forum have alot of exsperience and im sure i can bennefit from it rather than wasting some horsepower and time on the phone im so close to done...thanks mike

The Stealth
runs from idle to 7000rpm now with that kind of cam you must not have very much vacuum. Mine runs only 6"to7" at idle so vacuum sec. was out i posted some articles in the performance section today for someone the title was idle quality.I have some more the intake won't be your only problem, you will need to check your vacuum advance and setup you carb.Myself went to full manafold vacuum for advance and made a big difference.
Hope this helps
