What kind of epoxy do you use on the well plugs of a carb and where do you get it? I have a plug on a fuel bowl that's leaking.

Clean the area around the plugs with steel wool and free of gas. Clean well with lacquer thinner, then seal plugs with slow setting JB weld. Let stand for 24hrs. That should do it.

i second the jb weld , used it many times with gasoline parts.

I've always used JB Weld on those. I think it's more important to get it like chemically clean first than what brand epoxy you use. Use brake clean or alcohol last and let the epoxy cure for 24 hours before exposing it to hot gasoline.

JB weld will seal the leak and will work for a couple of years. It will then deteriorate and start leaking again. An industrial grade of epoxy will last indefinitely. JB weld is a commercial grade of epoxy.

You can also silver solder a steel plug in place.
