Went to the machine shop and got my Comp XTREME ENERGY 268H-10 and lifters and double roller Cloyes timing set and gaskets and stuff.cam is .477 and .480 lift 224* and 230*duration at .050" 110 lobe sepration he said if i get a set of vortec heads ill be gettin about 405 hp or so.......

but ill be saticefied right now.... desktop dyno says 350 hp and 380 ft lbs

Be sure to check for coil bind and retainer/guide clearance. This is sometime an issue wtih Vortec heads.

he said "IF" i get vortec heads i dont any yet but i might upgrade in the future..... i just have a regular set of heads ;)

Probably need to check those, too. Although older castings are not usually a problem.
