I have 454 30 over with 288/296f10,the best vaccum reading is 7.5" @ 1000rpm .I have installed a vaccum canister to help with the power brakes, disk in front and rear drum.I can pump the brakes three times before the pedal gets hard and would like to know the best way to install a vaccum pump to solve this problem. Thanks Jim

Low vacuum isn't your problem. You have air in the system. If there isn't enough vacuum to make the canister work the pedal is rock hard and very tough to make the brakes do anything. You have the opposite problem.

I didn't word my problem very well, the canister works fine just not enough vaccum for constant usage.
